In annual ritual, first ghoul of rock ‘n’ roll to visit Las Vegas

On the eve of Thanksgivukkah, will Alice Cooper’s Wednesday show be Hallowgiving or Thanksoween?

Who better than the first ghoul of rock to slice up some turkey with a guillotine?

An Alice show is its own annual ritual. Only a few visual reminders, such as 28-year-old guitarist Orianthi, remind us how the years have passed.

Otherwise, it’s a trip down macabre lane, from “No More Mr. Nice Guy” to “Feed My Frankenstein.” In recent years, the 65-year-old rocker has even covered a few songs by his peers, such as The Who’s “My Generation” and The Doors’ “Break on Through (To the Other Side).”

“If you actually drank with these guys, and you hung out with these guys, you have more of an authority to do these songs,” Cooper told the Review-Journal last year.
