Capriotti’s will open its 33rd Las Vegas location on Thursday at Downtown Summerlin. To celebrate, the company plans a grand opening on Nov. 1, during which the first 100 customers in line will each get free Bobbies for a year (that’s the Thanksgiving-on-a-bun for which Capriotti’s is justly famous). And 100 percent of proceeds that day will be donated to the Las Vegas Rescue Mission. The new Capriotti’s is at 11010 Lavender Hills Drive. …
Downtown Wednesdays will once again enliven the Fremont East entertainment district beginning from 6 p.m. to midnight this Wednesday. The event will include a food-truck village, painters’ lounge and more; it’ll be repeated on the remaining Wednesdays in October. …

Mint Indian Bistro, 730 E. Flamingo Road, has launched its first Inferno Curry Challenge Month through Oct. 31. Finish the signature Infernal Curry ($17.99 with vegetables, $18.99 with chicken thighs or $19.99 with boneless lamb) and you’ll get a $50 Mint gift card and entry into a drawing for free dinner entrees. Since Mint opened in 2008, only 16 of the 1,600 guests who have attempted to finish the curry have managed it, according to the restaurant. …
