Dance festival coming to Nicholas Horn
The College of Southern Nevada’s dance program presents the ninth annual Dance in the Desert Festival this weekend in the Nicholas J. Horn Theatre, 3200 E. Cheyenne Ave.
Peter Kyle of New York City will perform “Yepikhodov’s Dance (Or Twenty-Two Disasters)” and a performance of “Frail Demons.”
Other featured artists include Nannette Brodie Dance Theatre, Sustaita Dance Company and Eclectica Entertainment from Southern California and Arizona’s Desert Dance Theatre, Crossroads Performance Group and Step’s Junk Funk.
Southern Nevada artists are CSN’s Concert Dance Company and Dance Ensemble, Westwood & Dancers, Michelle Alexander, Saving Grace, Anthony Coppola, Las Vegas Contemporary Dance Theater, Threshold Dance Theater and Kelly Roth & Dancers.
Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. today and 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
General admission tickets are $10 for one show, $18 for any two shows and $24 for three shows.
Tickets for seniors and students are $8 for one show, $14 for any two shows and $18 for three shows.

Project Shakespeare performs this weekend
William Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing,” a production of Project Shakespeare, will be performed today through Sunday at the Las Vegas Little Theatre Black Box, 3850 Schiff Drive.
Performances by the nonprofit theater group will be at 8 p.m. today and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.
Admission is free but donations are accepted. Seating is limited and reservations are encouraged
