Star Parade: Kaley Cuoco at ‘Baz,’ Forrest Griffin, Tommy DeVito, Nas and Future
CBS’ THE BIG BANG THEORY actress Kaley Cuoco watched BAZ: STAR CROSSED LOVE at The Palazzo on Saturday night to support her sister, Briana, who stars in the resident new generation cabaret production based on Australian director Baz Luhrmann’s films.
Meantime, the cast of BAZ on their night off crossed over the Strip to watch ABSINTHE at Caesars Palace and posed for photographs with The Gazillionaire and his wacky cousin, sidekick Joy Jenkins.
Former UFC light-heavyweight champion and Hall of Famer Forrest Griffin was at the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health with MMA star Cody Garbrandt. They toured the clinic and met with doctors to discuss the continuing research of the Professional Fighters Brain Health Study at the Downtown Las Vegas institute in Symphony Park.
Original Four Seasons member Tommy DeVito got in a visit to the about-to-close JERSEY BOYS at Paris Las Vegas that tells his story with Frankie Valli and the chart-topping singing group in the 1960s. Travis Cloer, who stars as Frankie, is my featured interview in Friday Neon of the Las Vegas Review-Journal before Sunday’s close of its eight-year run on the Strip.
Rapper Nas celebrated his 43rd birthday by performing an unforgettable concert at Drai’s Nightclub atop The Cromwell on Friday night. As partygoers joined him to sing “New York State of Mind,” gorgeous dancers and sexy servers presented him with a custom birthday cake in the shape of a giant bottle of Hennessey cognac.
On Sunday night, Drai’s resident artist Future had his own celebration party atop The Cromwell after his sold-out show opening for Drake at T-Mobile Arena. The chart-topping rapper is on the official “Summer Sixteen Concert Tour” with Drake, who reveled in his own celebration at Hakkasan in MGM. Check back for a review of the concert by Austin Rinker, plus a photo gallery by Tom Donoghue, on Tuesday.
