Las Vegas comic Marty Allen, 95, isn’t slowing down
At age 95, you’d think that Las Vegas comic Marty Allen would slow down. But, after celebrating his birthday last month, his performance schedule is busier than ever.
Just weeks ago, Marty received the Comedy Legend Lifetime Achievement Award from The Producer’s Choice Honors. This Saturday, Marty and his musical-comedy partner and singer wife Karon Kate Blackwell bring their show to Rampart to open the new Cascade Lounge.
Then the couple takes off for shows in Mill Valley, California, and in his original hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he’s still hailed a hero from his World War II aircrew heroics.
