Is Genting’s Resorts World on the Las Vegas Strip kaput?
We have two delicious Wicked Whispers + Racy Rumors this torrid Tuesday:
Has the overseas gaming giant Genting Group based in Malaysia decided to abandon its plans for Resorts World, a Chinese-themed hotel, on the former Echelon site opposite Wynn Las Vegas and Encore? Genting is apparently now plotting new ideas.
The nearby land — as in across the street — where Australian billionaire James Packer of Crown Resorts was to build the 35-acre Alon hotel-casino with 1,100 rooms is now rumored to be for sale for $300 million.
James was engaged to Caesars Palace headliner Mariah Carey this year until they broke off their wedding plans and she burned her $250,000 wedding gown. In this YouTube video for her single “I Don’t” with YG, she’s shown peeling off a wedding dress and throwing it into a fire at the Calabasas, California, home James and she shared.
