Son of ‘Pawn Stars’ star Rick Harrison dies at age 39
He was known as “Wax.” He wasn’t among the cast of “Pawn Stars,” but he was a star in the family.
Adam Harrison, one of the sons of the History hit series creator Rick Harrison, has died. He was 39.
Harrison PR rep Laura Herlovich confirmed Adam Harrison’s death was from an overdose, and he was discovered Friday.
Herlovich issued a statement on behalf of the family:
“Our family is extremely saddened by the death of Adam. We ask for privacy as we grieve his loss.”
Rick Harrison posted a photo of the two on Instagram, writing, “You will always be in my heart. I love you Adam.”
Corey Harrison, featured in the series and the oldest Harrison son at age 40, posted a photo of the two little boys in the bathtub. “Wax wtf I will always love you bubba.”
No other details have been provided. Las Vegas Metro Police Department’s public information office has has not responded to a request for an official report of the incident.
TMZ was first to report the younger Harrison’s death.
Adam Harrison was not a figure on the History hit series, which premiered in 2009 and also stars longtime family friend Austin “Chumlee” Russell. Adam Harrison reportedly worked for a time at Gold & Silver Pawn in Las Vegas, the show’s central setting, but has not recently been employed there.
Rick Harrison had two sons with his first wife, Kim, Corey and Adam. He has a son, Jake, with his second wife, Tracy. He has three daughters, Sarina, Ciana and Marissa.
