Readers share their fish stories

An (insert name of fish here) by any other name …

I’m not even going to specify the various types of fish that often are used interchangeably (by accident or design) because this can be a controversial and even emotional subject.

Suffice it to say there’s a lot of confusion about what’s what – again, by both accident and design.

Diane Homeier suggested www.WalleyeDirect.com (877-229-2553). …

For Brenda Byrom, who’s looking for raw, in-shell peanuts, preferably in bulk, Thong Bartlett suggested the SF Market at 5115 Spring Mountain Road and the Greenland Market at 6850 Spring Mountain Road. And Steve Gail emailed that they’re available at Cardenas Markets, which has three stores in the valley. …

For Thomas Reynolds, who’s looking for padron peppers, P.J. Aniello reported finding them at the Bet on the Farm market from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays at the Springs Preserve, 333 S. Valley View Blvd. Ken Wolt emailed that he gets them at the Downtown3rd Farmers Market, which is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays at 300 N. Casino Center Blvd. …

Here are more reader requests.
