Pineapple preserves available locally

Sometimes, things that seem like they would be easy to find actually are far more elusive, as Sheila McMahon discovered when she was searching for pineapple preserves. But fellow readers have reported a few local sources.

Ellene Hohmann, Suzanne Atfield and Scott Abbott found the preserves at the Oroweat/Entenmann outlets at 2548 Wigwam Parkway in Henderson and 5191 W. Charleston Blvd., Hohmann also found them at Albertsons at 8350 W. Cheyenne Ave. and Food 4 Less at 120 W. Rainbow Blvd., and Jean Sider found them at Food 4 Less at 2271 N. Green Valley Parkway in Henderson. …

For Vickie Olmstead, who’s looking for grass-fed beef, Diane Coleman recommended Branded Meats at 1550 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway in Henderson, Roberta Shulman recommended www.USWellnessMeats.com (877-383-0051) and Audney Somerville recommended Nevada Premium Organics at (775) 964-1397, adding that owner Marlene Redman attends the Bet on the Farm market at the Springs Preserve on Thursdays. …
