Plenty of people seem to think they should be able to whine all they want. Here, though, is an opportunity to Wine All You Want, and do good at the same time.

It’s a benefit from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday (June 30) at Presidio at The District at Green Valley Ranch in Henderson, for the Henderson Libraries Foundation, which has a goal of raising $1 million by April for materials for the six library branches. The event is $30 per person ($15 of that donated to the foundation) and includes tastings of four wines. Those who stay for dinner will get a 15 percent discount. …

Bar + Bistro @ The Arts Factory, 107 E. Charleston Blvd., will roast a suckling pig on its patio Saturday (June 25). Customers may witness the roasting at the Hangover Brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, or partake of the pig in lechon tacos during the Painters & Poets Jam, with live jazz that starts at 7 p.m. …

Simon Restaurant & Lounge at Palms Place, 4321 W. Flamingo Road, is offering a $6 happy hour menu from 4 to 7 p.m. weekdays. It includes dishes such as wok-charred edamame or meatball sliders, sushi, wines by the glass, beer and well drinks.
