The Vegas StrEATS food-truck festival will return to the El Cortez, 600 Fremont St., from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday (June 11). Slidin’ Thru, Fukuburger, LBS Patty Wagon, Snow Ono, Muncheeze, Top Notch BBQ, Lulu’s On the Move, Grouchy John’s and Foodslingers will participate in the event on Jackie Gaughan Parkway adjacent to the hotel property. Drink specials, art and live music also will be offered. …

During Father’s Day weekend June 18-19, Wendy’s locations will donate 50 cents for every Frosty sold to Wendy’s Wonderful Kids, a program of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption that finds permanent adoptive families for foster children. …
