Chefs, musicians join forces for Kerry Simon benefit
It’s only fitting: A fundraiser for Kerry Simon, who has been dubbed the “rock ’n’ roll chef” and who is suffering from multiple system atrophy, will bring together chefs such as Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Daniel Boulud, Charlie Palmer, Michael Mina and Rick Moonen and musicians such as Sammy Hagar, Alice Cooper, Vince Neil and Slash. The event, “(Kerry) Simon Says Fight MSA,” will begin at 7 p.m. (VIP reception at 6) Feb. 27 at the Keep Memory Alive Event Center, 888 W. The 25th annual Splendor in the Glass, a benefit for Vegas PBS, is 3 to 7 p.m. Feb. 8 at the LVH, 3000 Paradise Road. The event will include tastings of the products of more than 60 wineries and breweries, plus hors d’oeuvres, a live wine auction, a silent auction and live jazz.
