There’s a little something for everyone at the movies this summer. But, as usual, there’s a lot more out there — from superheroes to sequels to action spectacles — if you happen to be young(ish) and male.

This year, though, the studios also are throwing a few bones to those of you who were young(ish) and male three decades ago by rebooting the “Terminator,” “Jurassic Park,” “Mad Max,” “Poltergeist” and “Vacation” franchises.

Families can look forward to the “Despicable Me” prequel “Minions” and Disney/Pixar’s “Inside Out.”

And for the ladies, there’s always the beefcake and body glitter of “Magic Mike XXL.”

Here’s a look at what’s opening over the next few months at the multiplexes, although, as always, release dates are subject to change.
