Britney Spears is home again: The pop star left California on Friday and returned to her hometown of Kentwood, La. — her first trip back since before her hospitalization and custody battles of the past year, a source tells People magazine.

Also in town is Spears’s father, Jamie, who remains in legal control of her affairs until a July 31 hearing
