JERRY LEWIS CITED AT AIRPORT FOR CONCEALED WEAPON
Las Vegas police confiscated an unloaded handgun from comedy and film icon Jerry Lewis last Friday after it was discovered in a carry-on bag at McCarran International Airport, according to a police report.
The 82-year-old Lewis, who was taking a Northwest Airlines flight to Detroit, told Metro he forgot the gun was in the bag. He was issued a citation for having a concealed weapon without permit. Lewis was interviewed and allowed to continue on the flight, which was not delayed.
The incident occurred about 1 p.,m. on Friday when a Las Vegas security manager with the TSA reported that the .22 caliber Beretta was found in the carry-on bag.
