Man suffers minor injuries in stabbing east of downtown Las Vegas

A man was stabbed in the wrist in a fight early Thursday morning, Las Vegas police said.

Police responded to a call about 5:15 a.m. that a man had been stabbed at an apartment complex near the 1800 block of Lewis Avenue near South Bruce and Fremont streets, Metropolitan Police Department spokesman officer Laura Meltzer said.

The fight involved the caller, the man stabbed and a suspect who police have taken into custody.

The man was taken to University Medical Center with minor injuries, Meltzer said.
