Man shot dead in North Las Vegas parking lot

A man is dead after an overnight shooting in North Las Vegas.

About 11:45 p.m., officers responded to the 3000 block of Las Vegas Boulevard North, near North Pecos Road regarding a shooting, police said. Upon arrival, officers found a 31-year-old man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

He was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition. He died hours later on Sunday morning, police said

Police said an argument in the parking lot of a business escalated to gunfire. The suspects fled the scene before officers arrived.

The investigation continues and no suspects are in custody, police said.

The Clark County coroner will release the deceased’s identity once his family has been notified.
