Las Vegas police find 2 dead in northwest valley home
Las Vegas police are asking for witnesses to come forward after two people were found dead in a home Friday night in the far northwest valley.
Officers were called about 8:50 p.m. Friday to the 7800 block of Airola Peak Street, near West Grand Teton Drive and North Hualapai Way, after a report of gunshots, Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Greg Phenis said.
When police arrived, they found two people dead in the home.
In a Facebook post on Saturday, Metro asked for anyone “who may have observed anyone suspicious” to come forward. The shooting happened sometime after 8 p.m., the department said.
“We know someone walked past the suspect on Airola Peak Street at 8:42 p.m.,” Metro said in the Facebook post, asking that person to come forward.
Further information was not immediately available. Metro has not indicated that the shooting was a murder-suicide.
