Clark County coroner identifies Henderson woman shot in her home

The Clark County coroner on Monday identified the Henderson woman whom police suspect was shot by her husband in their home Sunday afternoon.

In a statement, the Henderson Police Department said officers found Paulette King, 61, of Henderson at about 4:45 p.m. Sunday, suffering from a gunshot wound in a spare bedroom inside her home in the 1700 block of Sequoia Drive, between Arroyo Grande Boulevard and Valle Verde Drive.

She was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where she died from her wounds, police said.

Police said her husband, Dennis Kopp, 64, also of Henderson, called 911, saying he shot his wife. Kopp waited for officers to arrive, police said, and was taken into custody and booked into the Henderson Detention Center. He faces murder charges, police said.
