1 suspect arrested in shooting of 4 people in downtown Las Vegas

The man suspected of shooting four people downtown Sunday morning, leaving one in critical condition, has been identified and arrested.

Detectives identified Pierre Devlin, 32, as the shooter in the argument that left four people wounded just after 6 a.m., police said.

Devlin was arrested in the downtown area without incident Tuesday, police said.

Devlin was taken to the Clark County Detention Center and faces five counts of attempted murder, four counts of battery with a deadly weapon, two counts of discharging a firearm and one count of conspiracy to commit murder.

The shooting happened in the 200 block of Third Street, police said.

The investigation shows that Devlin and another man were arguing on the sidewalk when four adults — two men and two women — walked by them. The two groups exchanged words, police said. At some point, Devlin reportedly entered a white Lexus sedan with dark tint and a sunroof parked nearby and got a handgun. He then shot at the four passers-by, striking all of them.

Devlin and the other man, who remains at large, got into the sedan and fired at the victims again as they sped away, police said.

The outstanding man is described as black and in his 20s. He was last seen wearing a long-sleeved maroon shirt and jeans.
