1 person shot at Wild Wild West casino in Las Vegas
A shootout erupted Friday morning at the Wild Wild West hotel after a person was shot and wounded in the parking lot, Las Vegas police said.
Police were called just before 11:15 a.m. to the hotel, 3330 W. Tropicana Ave., west of Dean Martin Drive, where one person had been shot and wounded, Metropolitan Police Department Officer Larry Hadfield said.
The shooting happened in or near the entrance of one of the rooms at the hotel, which open to the parking lot, he said.

The person who was shot had been in an argument with “multiple suspects” in the parking lot of the hotel when one of them fired multiple rounds. The person who was shot suffered wounds that were not life-threatening, Metro Lt. Richard Meyers said Friday afternoon.
As the shooter and an unknown number of accomplices were leaving in a dark-colored SUV, they were confronted by at least one hotel security officer. The people in the SUV fired multiple shots, and the security officer or officers returned fire, Meyers said.
They then drove off, possibly heading southbound on the Interstate 15, Hadfield said.
Police are asking the public to be on the lookout for a maroon, four-door SUV, possibly a Kia, with a broken back window, Meyers said.
