Las Vegas police arrest man in teenage sex trafficking investigation
Police arrested a man Tuesday in connection to a teenage sex trafficking investigation initiated in May.
David Coil, a 63-year-old Las Vegas resident, was arrested Tuesday and booked into the Clark County Detention Center on one count of sex trafficking a child under the age of 18, one count of attempted sex trafficking of a child and four counts of soliciting or engaging in child prostitution, the Metropolitan Police Department said.
According to Metro, detectives in Metro’s vice and sex trafficking investigations section “initiated an investigation into a man suspected of luring teenaged juveniles to commit acts of prostitution,” Metro said in a news release.
Police said recruitments were facilitated through Craigslist postings.
“The investigation also indicated the suspect had been involved in this type of activity since October, 2015,” the release said.
No further details were immediately available.
