Armed robbery investigated in west Las Vegas Valley

Police are searching for a man in connection with an armed robbery Sunday night in the west Las Vegas Valley.

The robbery occurred just after 7:30 p.m. at a business on the 1500 block of North Buffalo Drive, near Vegas Drive, according to a release and records from the Metropolitan Police Department.

The man demanded money from the victim while pointing a handgun.

Police said the suspected robber was between 50 and 60 years old, 6 feet tall, weighed about 140 pounds and had short, gray hair with a scruffy gray beard. He was wearing a long-sleeve, blue shirt; dark-colored jeans; black-and-white shoes; a black mask and was armed with a black handgun.
