Police seek public’s help on kidnapping in southeast Las Vegas
Update: Police have identified a suspect and taken him into custody.
Las Vegas police are seeking the public’s help regarding a possible kidnapping early Wednesday on the southeast side of the valley.
Police on Wednesday night released a resident’s home surveillance video showing an apparent kidnapping and asked for the public’s help identifying the victim and suspect.
Officers responded to a home on the 1200 block of Little Sidnee Drive, near Warm Springs Road and Interstate 215, after the video caught a woman banging on the front door screaming for help before she was dragged to a vehicle at around 12:48 a.m., according to the release from the Metropolitan Police Department.
In the video, the woman is seen crying while she runs to a house screaming for help before a man runs from the passenger side of a car, kicks her and drags her by her hair into the white four-door car he was driving.
Police described the woman as white, between the ages of 20 and 30, with dark hair, last seen wearing blue ripped jeans, a dark long-sleeve shirt and dark boots.
The man is described as black, between the ages of 20 and 30, with short black hair. He was last seen wearing dark-colored pants, a white shirt with horizontal stripes and brown dress shoes, police said.
Police believe the man drove off with the victim in a white Hyundai Sonata with a sunroof.
