Las Vegas police look for more victims of sex assault suspect

Updated September 30, 2020 - 8:15 am

Las Vegas police are looking for possible additional victims after a man was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman at his condominium on the Strip.

Saman Sedaghat, 39, was arrested June 25 and charged with sexual assault, but detectives now believe there may be additional victims, according to a statement Tuesday from the Metropolitan Police Department.

A woman reported June 20 that she had been assaulted by Sedaghat the night before after he told her he would drive her back to her car when they left the Chandelier Bar at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. She told police that he instead took her to his sixth-floor condo at the Sky Tower Las Vegas Condominiums, according to his arrest report.

The woman said he locked himself in a room with her but that she was able to escape and run downstairs to security, the arrest report said.

Sedaghat told police in June that his wealth and his multiple cars make women want to go home with him, but he was arrested after changing his statement to police several times, the arrest report indicates.

He is listed as a managing member of Black Diamond Collision Center LLC and Reborn Rejuvenation & Stem Cell Center LLC, according to data from the Nevada secretary of state’s website. He is also registered as the secretary and treasurer of Flamingo Collision Center Inc.

Sedaghat is charged with two counts of sexual assault, one count of kidnapping and one count of attempted sexual assault, according to court records. He was released after posting $20,000 bail on the condition he have no contact with the victim, and he is expected to appear in court again Nov. 2.

Those with information or who believe they were victims are encouraged to call Las Vegas police at 702-828-3421 or to remain anonymous call 702-385-5555.
