Man killed in Northwest Las Vegas shooting

A man died after a shooting early Saturday morning in the northwest valley, according to Las Vegas police.

Around 2 a.m. officers responded to 2320 Jones Blvd. to investigate reports of a man who had been shot and was lying in the street, police said.

Arriving officers located a man lying in the median of Jones Boulevard south of Smoke Ranch Road suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Medical personnel took the man to the trauma center at University Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
