Las Vegas police investigate homicide at apartment complex

Metro is investigating a homicide at an apartment complex near Desert Inn Road and Arville Street early Wednesday morning.

A security guard patrolling the Shadow Ridge apartments at 3200 Arville St. found a man with gunshot wounds unconscious in a car just after midnight. Police said the man was taken to an area hospital where he later died.

Investigators said the victim was shot at least once by someone who might have been inside the car. Metro is still investigating the motive behind the shooting and searching for suspects.

This is the 61st homicide investigated by Metro this year.
