Las Vegas man found dead in apartment identified

The Clark County coroner’s office has identified a man found dead in an apartment earlier this month.

Samuel Lorenzo Villaneuva, a 29-year-old Las Vegas resident, died of multiple stab wounds and other cuts, the coroner’s office said. His death was ruled a homicide.

On July 7, just after 10: 30 a.m., police responded to a report of a decomposed body in an apartment in the 3600 block of Arville Street, near West Spring Mountain Road, according to Metro.

Metro Lt. Reggie Rader said neighbors called reporting the smell.

No arrests have been made in connection with the case, and police have not released details about a possible suspect, Metro spokesperson Michael Rodriguez said.

No further details were available.
