Fight leads to death at south Las Vegas apartment complex
Las Vegas police are investigating after a Saturday afternoon fight in the southern valley left one man dead.
Officers responded to reports of a fight at an apartment complex in the 5100 block of Greene Lane, near Hacienda Avenue and Maryland Parkway.
A man with a head wound was found conscious and breathing at the scene. He was taken to Desert Springs Hospital Medical Center, where he later died.
Investigators found that he had been in a fight with another man. The other man was detained at the scene but was not arrested.
The Clark County coroner’s office will release the name of the deceased once his or her family has been notified.
This is the 110th homicide Metro has investigated this year.
