Coroner identifies 2 men fatally shot Tuesday in northwest Las Vegas Valley

Two men who were shot and killed Tuesday night in the northwest valley have been identified.

Charles Edward Warren, 28, of Las Vegas and Deante Dixon, 24, whose city of residence is unknown, died of multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Clark County coroner’s office. Both deaths were homicides.

Police responded about 6:15 p.m. Tuesday to an apartment complex in the 2200 block of North Torrey Pines Drive, near the intersection with West Smoke Ranch Road, to investigate reports of gunshots.

Upon arrival, police found two men, one inside a vehicle and one on the ground near the same vehicle. They were taken to University Medical Center, where they later died.

“The investigation initiated by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicated the two victims were seated in the vehicle,” according to a Metropolitan Police Department statement. “Multiple shots were heard in the vicinity of the vehicle, and at least two suspects fled the scene before officers’ arrival.”

Metro said the homicides were the 115th and 116th in its jurisdiction in 2016.

Police said no suspects have been arrested in connection with the case.
