Reward raised in bank killing

The reward has doubled to $20,000 for anyone assisting in the arrest of two suspects who killed a 7-Eleven owner outside a Las Vegas Wells Fargo bank on March 30.

Convenience store chain 7-Eleven announced a $10,000 reward Tuesday. That comes in addition to $5,000 already offered by family of the victim, 31-year-old Amanpreet Singh Mander of North Las Vegas, who ran a 7-Eleven near the bank. Nevada slot machine operator United Coin Machine Co. matched the family’s $5,000 reward in April, but neither reward has led to arrests.

“You know somebody had to see something,” said officer Marcus Martin, spokesman for Las Vegas police. “But there’s nothing new at this time.”

Police said Singh, who made frequent deposits to the bank, probably was targeted in a robbery. Two men driving a white, four-door Dodge Stratus are suspected in the crime. The suspects also might have used a silver Ford F-150 with no bed cover.

Anyone with information can contact Las Vegas police homicide detectives at 828-3521 or leave anonymous tips with Crime Stoppers at 385-5555 or crimstoppersofnv.com.
