LVCVA moves meeting to accommodate larger-than-expected crowd

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority has moved its Tuesday board of directors meeting to accommodate a large number of people expected to attend.

The meeting, scheduled to begin at 9 a.m., will be moved to rooms S219 and S220 at the Las Vegas Convention Center’s South Hall from the center’s board room.

Several LVCVA employees are expected to attend for a presentation on the LVCVA’s response to last week’s mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Festival grounds. LVCVA President and CEO Rossi Ralenkotter and U.S. Travel Association President and CEO Roger Dow also are scheduled to make presentations.

A proposal to spend $80 million over 20 years for naming rights to the Las Vegas Ballpark is on the agenda as are three resolutions in advance of the authority’s plans to sell bonds to help pay for the $1.4 billion convention center expansion and renovation project.
