Airport passenger count rises slightly in March
Passenger traffic at McCarran International Airport grew slightly in March, airport officials reported Monday.
The number of arriving and departing passengers rose 0.7 percent to 3,682,058 in March of this year compared with 3,654,736 in March 2012.
For the year, passenger count is down 1.4 percent with 9,799,917 people passing through the Las Vegas airport so far in 2013 compared with 9,938,640 in the first three months of last year.
Southwest Airlines, the busiest carrier at McCarran, saw passenger count rise 2.5 percent in March from 1,365,441 last year to 1,466,488 this year.
