Aeromexico boosts flights from Las Vegas to Monterrey

Aeromexico has boosted its flight schedule from Las Vegas to the commercial center of Monterrey from two to four a week as of Aug. 8.

Mexico’s largest airline has scheduled daily departures in the past year, but more recently cut back. VivaAerobus, one of the niche carriers at McCarran International Airport, also flies the route four times a week.

Partly by filling the void when Mexicana stopped flying a year ago due to financial problems, Aeromexico’s passenger count to Las Vegas has shot up 127 percent during the first seven months this year to 95.000. VivaAerobus, by contrast, has seen its numbers drop 42 percent to 17,000.
