SPEEDVEGAS offering free rides for grand opening
Las Vegas’ newest high-speed attraction, SPEEDVEGAS, is ready to start its engines. To help break in its new track, the motorsports complex is offering guests the chance to put the pedal to the metal and take a drive — or ride along — on Friday, April 15.
The first 100 guests at the SPEEDVEGAS gate at 11 a.m. will have the opportunity to drive or ride three laps for free, organizers said in a news release. The next 200 people in line will receive a “bring a friend, drive for free” (buy one, get one free) offer.
The $30 million SPEEDVEGAS complex features a fleet of luxury vehicles — Audis, Corvettes, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porsches and Shelby Mustangs — that are available for guests to take for a spin around the attraction’s 1.5-mile track.
The course includes 12 sweeping turns, some of which are banked at 20-degrees, 60 feet of total elevation change and a half-mile straightaway.
If you can’t make it to the grand opening celebration, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 16-17, Nevada residents and active or retired military (with valid ID) who bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to Veterans Village Las Vegas will receive $25 off any SPEEDVEGAS package, the company said.
According to a previous Review-Journal article, packages to drive or ride with a professional driver for two laps start at $99. Five-lap exotic supercar packages start at $295. A la carte driving experiences are also available.
SPEEDVEGAS is located at 14200 S. Las Vegas Blvd., approximately 11 minutes south of the famous “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign.
