Clean Energy Summit headed to Las Vegas for fifth year
The National Clean Energy Summit is returning to Las Vegas for a fifth year.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., announced Tuesday that the summit is scheduled for Aug. 7 at Bellagio.
The summit’s theme will be "The Power of Choice." Reid’s announcement said it will focus on "providing consumers with more and better energy options and understanding how the freedom to make clean energy choices can improve the quality of life, save consumers money and grow the economy."
Reid has scheduled a Wednesday news conference in Washington, D.C., to talk about the summit’s speaker lineup and specific discussion topics.
Reid is sponsoring the event along with MGM Resorts International, the Clean Energy Project, the Center for American Progress and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
