Cantor Gaming opens temporary sports, race book at Tropicana
Cantor Gaming opened a temporary sports and race book Wednesday at the Tropicana while it continues to build a permanent facility.
The company expects construction on its 4,200-square-foot sports and race book to be completed next month. Until then, Cantor President and Chief Executive Lee Amaitis said, guests can try the company’s eDeck mobile gaming device in the Tropicana’s Ambhar Lounge.
“The new race and sports book … will bring our revolutionary sports wagering technology to the all new Tropicana on the Las Vegas Strip,” Amaitis said in a statement.
He said the company’s In-Running system, which lets customers place wagers during sporting events, will be available in the temporary book.
The Tropicana is completing a $180 million renovation, which includes a new casino and 60,000 square feet of meeting space.
“Cantor Gaming’s cutting-edge technology appeals to the Tropicana Las Vegas gamer, so we’re excited to attract players to experience the completely transformed Tropicana,” Tropicana player services director Richard Day said in a statement.
Las Vegas-based Cantor Gaming is an affiliate of the financial services firm Cantor Fitzgerald L.P. Cantor also operates race and sports books at The Venetian, Palazzo, Hard Rock Hotel, M Resort and The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
