Venetian Macau sues to collect gaming debts of $4.4 million from two Chinese gamblers
The Chinese subsidiary of Las Vegas Sands Corp., has sued two high-end gamblers from Mainland China who owe the Venetian Macau gambling debts of roughly $4.4 million.
According to a report from Reuters, one of the gamblers is a delegate to China’s parliament. The lawsuit was filed in the High Court of Hong Kong.
The Venetian Macau is seeking to recover gambling debts from Shanghai businesswoman Zou Yunyu and from Xie Xiaoqing, a delegate to the National People’s Congress.
The casino said they each borrowed money in the form of gaming chips.
