Update: WSOP bracelet now at $56,700
The gold and diamond championship bracelet put up for auction on eBay by 2008 World Series of Poker winner Peter Eastgate has been bid up to $56,700 with three days left in the listing.
Eastgate said all proceeds from sale of the bracelet would be donated to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, a children’s charity.
Eastgate, 24 of Denmark, earned $9.15 million and the bracelet for topping a field 6,843 players in 2008 at the Rio in winning the $10,000 buy-in No Limit hold’em World Championship. He told The Associated Press earlier this year he had retired from poker.
Eastgate originally listed the bracelet at $16,000.
As of this morning 64 bidders had registered a bid on the World Series of Poker bracelet, which is made from 168 grams of 18-karat white gold and has a total of 291 diamonds, making up 2.81 carats encrusted into it.
