‘Man v. Food’ to take on the B3
The Travel Channel’s popular “Man v. Food” is coming to Las Vegas.
Adam Richman, who hosts the cable television show where he travels the country to take on various gastronomical challenges, will tackle the six-pound “Big Badass Burrito” at the Sahara’s NASCAR Café.
Filming will take place Saturday at 1:30 p.m. and the public is invited its watch.
Richman has taken on such challenges as a 13-pound pizza and a platter of atomic-hot chicken wings.
Dubbed the B-3, the burrito is two feet long and smothered in guacamole, sour cream and cheese. Richman will have 90 minutes to complete the task.
If he succeeds, he will become third person to eat the entire burrito in one sitting and his photo will be added to the NASCAR Café’s Wall of Fame.” If he can’t finish the burrito, his photo will be displayed on the “Weenie Wall of Shame.”
Since the show is being filmed in Las Vegas, the Travel Channel decided to have odds placed on Richman’s chances against the B3.
On Friday afternoon, Art Manteris, the vice president of race and sports book operations for Station Casinos, will set a betting line on
the task.
