Hasson leaves Station Casinos for position with Penn National
Veteran Station Casinos executive Joe Hasson is leaving the company to become general manager of Penn National Gaming’s Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg, Ind.
Hasson most recently served as the general manager of Sunset Station. He spent eight years with the company and became known to a national television audience through Discovery Channel’s “American Casino” when he was general manager of Green Valley Ranch Resort.
Hasson also helped open Aliante Station for the company.
Prior to joining Station, Hasson spent 22 years in a variety of roles with casinos owned by Harrah’s Entertainment.
“Joe brings strong management experience and extensive industry knowledge to Penn National and is the ideal person to lead Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg,” said Penn National Senior Vice President Regional Operations John Finamore.
The riverboat casino, which opened in 2009, markets to the Cincinnati region. The property has a 270,000 square-foot riverboat with a casino, restaurants and a 300-room hotel.
Penn National operates riverboat casinos and racetracks but also took over ownership of M Resort in June.
