Congressional inaction has stalled online poker legalization on a federal level.
Gaming equipment suppliers, however, are looking elsewhere in the Internet gaming world.

According to a joint statement, WMS will allow much its well-known slot machine content to be utilized by the lottery through the Internet. WMS has been providing traditional slot machine products to the British Columbia Lottery since 2004 that are used the government-run casinos.
Also Wednesday, SHFL Entertainment (formerly Shuffle Master Gaming) announced it had been licensed by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission in the British Isles.
The license allows SHFL to provide interactive versions of Let It Ride, Three Card Poker, Ultimate Texas Hold’em and other table games to online gaming companies licensed by Alderney.
"We are excited to expand the reach and exposure of our growing online content portfolio,” SHFL Chief Executive Officer Gavin Isaacs said in a statement. "By enabling us to house our recently acquired equipment at a data center in Alderney, this license allows us to be physically closer to the data centers of many of the world’s leading online gaming operators, resulting in better performance and closer content integration."
