Former Shuffle Master CEO Tim Parrott passes away
Former Shuffle Master Gaming Chief Executive Officer Tim Parrott, the subject of my column last Sunday, has passed away.
Parrott spent about a year as the gaming company’s CEO before stepping aside due to medical issues. He had been on medical leave for an intestinal infection caused by complications of treatment for liver cancer.
Parrott is credited with helping to transform Shuffle Master’s culture in just the 12 months he was on the job.
Board Chairman Phil Peckman stepped down from that position two weeks ago to become interim CEO while Shuffle Master searches for a replacement.
Parrott was the founder of Boomtown casinos. He later served as CEO of the American unit for Australian slot machine maker Aristocrat Technologies.
