First player eliminated in Day 8 of WSOP’s Main Event
Day 8 of the World Series of Poker’s Main Event began at noon Tuesday and quickly eliminated its first player at the Rio.
Lars Bonding, a 31-year-old poker player from Las Vegas was knocked out in 22nd place in the $10,000 buy-in No Limit Hold’em World Championship, winning $302,005.
The field, which began on July 7 with 6,865 players, will be reduced to the final table of nine players sometime early Wednesday morning.
