Ex-Shuffle Master executive David Lopez joins Global Cash Access
David Lopez, who resigned earlier this month as chief operating officer of Shuffle Master, has been named president of Global Cash Access.
Lopez, who spent 12 years with Shuffle Master and was the interim chief executive officer for about a year, will oversee the sales, product and operations areas of Global Cash, which provides automated teller and cash handling services to the casino industry.
He will report to company CEO Scott Betts.
In addition to Shuffle Master, Lopez previously held positions with Stratosphere Tower and Casino and MGM Grand Hotel.
“David is joining GCA at an exciting period of growth for the company,” Betts said in a statement. “Our initiatives in international growth, Internet gaming, and product innovation match his talents and experience.”
