Claudine Williams – a reflection
Much has been written in the past few weeks about the passing of gaming icon Claudine Williams, including her impact on Las Vegas and the casino industry, and her legacy.
Review-Journal columnist John L. Smith and Jane Ann Morrison both penned reflections of Williams.
Former gaming executive Richard Goeglein became an admirer of Williams during his days with the Holiday Inn Corp. The company acquired the Holiday Casino on the Strip from Williams and gave the gaming novices life lessons about running a casino. The property is now Harrah’s Las Vegas.
Goeglein, who is now a member of the board of directors of Pinnacle Entertainment, passed along a memory written by his wife, Dr. Andrea Goeglein, a therapist and personal development expert. The reflection appears on Dr. Goeglein’s Website and blog.
