Response for 2016 Outback is red-hot at Subaru of Las Vegas
The 2016 Subaru Outback arrived at Subaru of Las Vegas a few months ago, and the response to the model has been strong ever since.
Especially key to the new Outback are highly touted safety and security features that are part of the Starlink in-vehicle technology. The system is so attentive that it can send first responders when an air bag deploys, while also helping police locate the vehicle if stolen.
Standard features on the vehicle include rear vision camera and eight air bags, along with all-wheel-drive capabilities for exceptional handling, especially during challenging weather conditions.
Rear cross-traffic alert uses radar sensors to help warn the driver of traffic approaching from the side as you are backing up, utilizing a flashing visual indicator in your side view mirrors.
Available features include blind-spot detection with lane change assist.
The Outback’s blind-spot detection warns the driver through the side mirror if it senses a vehicle in a blind spot.
Lane change assist generates a flashing indicator in each side mirror when an approaching vehicle sensed in a neighboring lane.
EyeSight Driver Assist Technology provides Subaru the highest possible score in front crash prevention by the Institute of Insurance and Highway Safety. As stated by Subaru of America, EyeSight Driver Assist serves as an extra set of eyes on the road, coupled with an extra foot on the brake when needed. In the event of a sudden obstruction in front of the vehicle, EyeSight-equipped Subarus will brake themselves.
The 2016 models include the 2.5i, 2.5i Premium, 2.5i Limited and 3.6R Limited.
Four- or six-cylinder power plants range have engine ratings range from 175 to 256 horsepower.
A strong incentive added by Subaru America was an announcement that customers buying a 2016 Subaru equipped with Navigation will receive a free three-year subscription to Sirius XM Traffic and SiriusXM Travel Link as well as three years of free navigation software updates.
In addition, customers who purchase a new Subaru with factory-equipped satellite radio will continue receiving a four-month audio subscription to Sirius XM’s All Access Package that includes Howard Stern; every NFL, MLB and NBA game; every NASCAR race plus NHL games and PGA Tour coverage.
Dealership General Manager Burton Hughes said response to the 2016 Outback has been strong.
“The 2016 Outback continues an unabated streak of popularity with consumers, and every time the factory is able to increase production, demand always exceeds production,” said Hughes. “It is red-hot and we always have more customers than we have cars.”
Outback models get up to 33 miles to the gallon. The 8.7 inches of ground clearance gives the Outback what is termed SUV-level capability in a crossover package.
