Redesigned 2017 MKZ now available at Findlay Lincoln

The 2017 Lincoln MKZ has arrived at Findlay Lincoln in the Valley Automall, and it didn’t take long for the showpiece vehicle to start gaining attention.

The newly designed MKZ is highlighted by an all-new front end that includes refreshed fenders and hood.

The grill of the MKZ is an immediate eye-catching feature with satin-aluminum Lincoln Star mesh and the headlamps complement the design of the front end features.

Throw in an available panoramic retractable vista roof from front to back, and Lincoln’s design/engineering experts most certainly succeeded in providing an impressive package.

The interior is highlighted by several features, including the standard Sync 3 which will seamlessly connect your smartphone to the vehicle. With voice commands, you can get directions, call, text and access your music. Also available is a 13- or 19-speaker Revel audio system. These speakers are strategically placed and engineered for an unmatched listening experience.

Other interior highlights include an 8-inch capacitive full-color LCD touchscreen with swipe capability that is easy to use.

Speaking of easy, the new model comes with Ford’s latest version of park assist which will now maneuver out of parallel parking spots and automate perpendicular parking.

In typical Lincoln fashion, the power packages are already big hits with the 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder; the 2.0-liter Atkinson-Cycle Hybrid and the 3.0-liter V-6 with horsepower ratings ranging from 240-400.

The hybrid model gets an EPA-estimated 41 miles per gallon for city driving and 38 on the highway.

The front-wheel-drive model is rated at 21 mpg city and 31 highway while the all-wheel drive model has ratings of 20 city and 28 highway.

Automobile sales consultant Don Lewis has been in the car business for more than 43 years, and said there is considerable excitement about the new look of the MKZ.

“Our Lincoln buyers are very loyal to the brand and they like what they see in the MKZ,” said Lewis, a native of Utica, New York. “They really like the size of the vehicle, which is very roomy inside. In addition, the overall comfort of the MKZ is very impressive.

“Also key to the MKZ is the fact that buyers can change the suspension to be either a Sport Mode, a Normal and then a Comfort mode depending on the driving situation. The Comfort level is for freeway driving, while Normal is typical city driving and the Sport tightens up the suspension for elements such as driving in the mountains.”
