Johnny Legends Las Vegas breaks ground on new showroom

Johnny Legends Las Vegas broke ground on a nearly 7,000-square-foot showroom on Tuesday that will hold six of the dealership’s pre-owned vehicles.

Owner Pete Urso said he sought to open Johnny Legends Las Vegas, which debuted just over a year ago at 6145 S. Decatur Blvd., in order to provide a unique car-buying experience for customers.

“I wanted to make an independent pre-owned dealership that’s not just about price but the quality of the vehicle as well,” he said. “We’re a family-owned business that treats its customers like family.”

Urso said in addition to housing six vehicles, the new showroom will include several lounges, finance offices, a café counter and a photo booth.

“The photo booth will take 360-degree photos of the car at every angle so we can post them on the internet,” he said. “The internet has changed the automobile business and we want to offer an experience that’s better than anyone else.”

Owner Tito Tiberti added that they came across the photo booth during a recent trip to a car convention.

“It takes 50 pictures of each car, and this way we’ll be able to do that with every car and put them on the internet,” he said. “Customers who walk through the new showroom will be able to see the photo booth in action so it’ll give a little excitement to it.”

Tiberti added that Johnny Legends Las Vegas is responding to the area’s need for more pre-owned dealerships.

“A lot of people need cars and can’t afford new cars,” he said. “When people walk in here, they’ll feel good. Having a quality building will exude confidence to our customers so they’ll tell their friends about the experience they had here.”

Urso said the new showroom, which is being built by cmbuilders, a Las Vegas-based commercial general construction contracting company, is scheduled to be open before New Year’s Day.

“It will be retro but modern also,” he said of the facility. “It has that 1960s feeling.”

Urso added that the dealership also plans to have a different celebrity car on display every month once the new showroom opens.

“They’ll be from movies and television shows,” he said. “It’ll be a fun place to stop by.”

In the future, Urso said Johnny Legends Las Vegas has plans to continue investing in more properties.

“We have plans to purchase other properties on Decatur (Boulevard) so we’ll be able to build a second Johnny Legends and deal with a different line of products such as trucks and high-line vehicles,” he said. “We want to set the standard.”
