Flow of new models generates strong interest at Friendly Ford
New 2017 models continue to arrive at Friendly Ford.
The dealership at 660 N. Decatur Blvd. received its first look at the 2017 Ford Fusion midsize models while also seeing its first 2016 Focus RS.
In each case, the new models are being purchased within a short period of time after their arrival. Dealership executives expect the same excitement to continue as other new models arrive.
In fact, the highly sought-after Focus RS lasted on the showroom floor for only about 24 hours before being bought during a busy Saturday afternoon.
Meanwhile, the Ford Fusion is entering its 11th year, and continued success of the vehicle is evidenced by the interest recorded in the past few weeks.
The Fusion has always been a popular model for Ford, but it’s even stronger with the 2017 model. It has striking features that include a new rotary gear shift dial that replaces the traditional shifter, and its more open cabin provides an even more comfortable ride and has taken the Fusion to another level.
The newly designed Fusion is available with LED headlamps that are already receiving strong responses from customers. Ford designed the 2017 Fusion to attract attention, and that has been the end result.
The new S Appearance Package is highlighted by 18-inch premium stainless wheels, halogen fog lamps with body-color bezel, leather-wrapped steering wheel, black cloth seats with medium stone stitching and a rear spoiler.
The SE Luxury Package includes 10-way power driver seat with two memory settings, leather seating surfaces with heated front seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel, LED fog lamps with chrome bezel, LED headlamps and upgraded side-view mirrors with heat, security approach lamps, turn signal indicators and auto-dimming with memory.
The 2017 Ford Fusion has five models from gas to hybrid and plug-in hybrid. Three powerful EcoBoost engines and the V-6 Sport provide a strong selection in yet another example of Ford Motor Co.’s continued ability to meet the demands of the car business.
The multifaceted 2017 Ford Fusion is accentuated by its fuel mileage ratings that range from 21 city and 32 highway for the S model to 104 city and 91 highway for the Fusion Energi Titanium.
Dealership sales consultant Joe Nazmi, a 14-year member of Friendly Ford, said the 2017 Fusion is expected to be a strong-selling model.
“It’s going to be very popular,” Nazmi said. “The Fusion has been popular for many years, and we’re all expecting big results with the 2017 Fusion.”
Friendly Ford has been at the same location since 1970 and is also a 17-time winner of the prestigious President’s Award, Ford’s highest honor for customer satisfaction.
